MEET DEA
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Dea started dancing and training in various styles of dance at a young age. She was introduced to the dance community in 2004 when she joined Future Shock San Diego under the direction Belle Abuyo and Rainen Paguio. Dea furthered her training with NYR, Funkanometry SD, and Lando Wilkins’ first project, Boxcutters School of Assassins. In 2007, she was privileged to join Super Galactic Beat Manipulators. Most recently, in 2008, Dea was blessed with the opportunity to join Choreo Cookies under the direction of Emmett Agapay, Jeff Morales, Kristen Aguinaldo, and Keone Madrid. Since then, Dea has performed and competed with Choreo Cookies in many various competitions and shows. As Dea continues to grow as a dancer, she hopes to inspire others as she explores her own style. She has taught abroad and continues to teach at Studio 429. Dea feels blessed to have had wonderful opportunities and looks forward to whatever lies in the future.
MEET KEVIN
Kevin Nguyen was born in Iowa and raised in Chicago, where his interest in dance and entertainment started. He started his dance career when he moved to California and joined Chaparral High School’s all male dance team, Agi-lity. Kevin trained heavily with the Temecula Dance Company and Formality. He started getting serious with choreographing during his time on Formality, and was privileged to travel and teach. Recently, Kevin filmed a music video with JIVE Records artist Jawan Harris. He’s a new member of Super Galactic Beat Manipulators and teaches classes at Artistic Dance Academy and StudioFX. He believes that there is always something new to discover in the world of dance, and that one must never stop growing. Kevin hopes to continue working in the industry, while also traveling the world to teach and inspire dancers everywhere.
